Barnfield Wedding Inspiration
Two Become One Wedding Planner shares more about the shoot with us;
My inspiration for the shoot was to showcase a whimsical boho luxe spring wedding by a lake in the heart of nature’s splendour, incorporating into our colour palette a few Pantone spring 2023 colours.
Barnfield wedding venue was the perfect spot, with nature’s beauty at its finest, a sustainable secluded lakeside meadow that has stunning views on two sides, and is surrounded by woodland. Against the backdrop of lush greenery, blooming wildflowers, and the soft melodies of birdsong, this wedding inspiration brings together the essence of bohemian style and luxurious elements for a truly magical experience.
It creates an enchanting celebration weaved together rustic elements, natural landscapes, and boho luxe with vintage details, creating an unforgettable and whimsical experience for the couple and their guests.
For the ceremony area with its lovely lake backdrop we feature a handcrafted wooden triangle arch made by Coast to Coast Tipis draped with locally grown seasonal flowers and foliage using Peonies, Roses, Alliums, Foxgloves, Poppies, Aquilegia, Sweetpeas, Cornflowers, Acer, Silver birch and Oak, by Helen Sheard Floral Designs, who embraces a sustainable ethos in her work and was assisted by Uraha Florist.
The same flowers were used in a beautiful meadow floor arrangement on one side of the arch and giant brass candlesticks with tapered candles in our spring colour palette pinks by Lou Lou Event Design, work beautifully on the other side of the ceremony arch.
Embracing the boho, rustic, vintage trend for our overall style, we wanted to showcase throughout a relaxed and romantic ambience, bohemian charm and timeless nostalgia. A harmonious blend of textures, colours and styling elements that celebrate the essence of love and creativity.
We incorporated vintage furniture pieces into the ceremony setup to add character and nostalgic charm with wooden chairs decorated with macrame and charming vintage rugs and aisle runners provided by The Little Wedding Warehouse and styled by Two Become One Wedding Planner to beautifully show off this trend.
Along the aisle we also create a dreamy ambience with an abundance of vintage lanterns and candles supplied by Helen Sheard Floral Designs, and styled by Two Become One Wedding Planner. This adds a rustic touch, while the candles inside can cast a soft and warm glow over the ceremony space creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere.
The wedding vows were provided by Ceremonies by Ruth, an independent celebrant who uses a handfasting tradition with ribbons and cords to symbolise how much a couple feel their lives will be bound together in the future.
The physical knot a couple will tie serves as a reminder in years to come of their wedding vows and of all the love and support that surrounded them on their wedding day. The love knot represents the binding nature of their marriage and the joining together of two lives, two hearts and two families.
Our beautiful bride model Grace wears two lovely dresses by Poppy Perspective from her vintage collection. All one-of-a-kind dresses handmade from reclaimed vintage laces and antique embroidered silks and gorgeous embellishments and trims.

Our horsebox bar by Ginfinity, was adorned with a foliage garland with ivy trails and dark purple peonies and sweet peas.
We wanted to add pops of colour throughout and added a trio of bud vases of British-grown flowers to the back and side serving hatches, and on the hatch we placed 2 cocktail menus by Heart E Designs. Your menus can show off your signature drinks for your wedding reception.
Having a horse box bar at a boho outdoor wedding not only serves as a stylish and eye-catching feature but also provides a delightful and interactive experience for guests. It encourages mingling, relaxation and celebration in a beautifully rustic bohemian-inspired setting.
Under the open skies, nestled in the secluded meadow, a boho luxe outdoor tipi by Coast to Coast Tipis takes centre stage, draped on two sides of the entrance with a beautiful flower arrangement, and lanterns by Helen Sheard Floral Designs. The vintage rugs by The Little Wedding Warehouse add a stunning floral and boho chic statement.
We dressed up our reception area in luxurious bohemian elegance featuring a hanging disco ball, vintage rugs, a top sweetheart table with peacock chairs and a guest trestle table supplied by The Little Wedding Warehouse which was styled by Two Become One Wedding Planner and Lou Lou Event Design.
The floor surrounding the top table is adorned with a stunning pampas decor in stone and seagrass vessels, thoughtfully positioned to create a sense of balance and harmony along the floor. This was provided and styled by Two Become One Wedding Planner and Lou Lou Event Design.
The ceremony chairs look beautiful around the guest table which has been styled by Two Become One Wedding Planner and Lou Lou Event Design blending the whimsical essence of bohemian table decor with vintage elements.
Also incorporating beautifully crafted tableware by The Baileys Tableware Company, blending into our spring colour palette we feature the pink ceres tumblers, pink wine glasses and pink coupes. With the Bibi pink lace charger, white stoneware dinner plates with side plates, and the gold cutlery beautifully matching the vintage candlesticks.

Provided by Helen Sheard Floral Designs we tied in gold tea light holders and tea lights to blend in with the overall colour scheme and add a soft romantic glow. And for the floral centrepieces we group 3 sets of a trio of bud vases with a selection of floral offcuts, which beautifully round off our table’s centrepiece.
Our beautiful wedding cake sits on a gorgeous vintage dresser, an exquisite piece of furniture, showcasing intricate carvings and ornate details that exude old-world charm provided by The Little Wedding Warehouse.
The cake is a work of art, a stunning 4 tier wedding cake, where our spring colour palette continues to flow through with the bottom tier in light pink, next tier in purple and the top two tiers in ivory with vanilla cream speckles on all tiers.
The cake flowers in pink, vanilla cream and magenta with foliage add an elegant dimension and make the cake pop and rounded off with individually wrapped biscuit favours on a beautifully carved cake board. This was presented with a lovely carved gold cake knife and slice set all lovingly made by Little Peony Cakes.
To complete the boho luxe trend, the cake table is adorned with a trio of bud vases with floral offcuts by Helen Sheard Floral Designs, in continuing the romantic boho luxe vibe we draped the dresser with gold flowing satin falling off one end supplied by Two Become One Wedding Planner.

The small detail accents in the silver disco balls, by The Little Wedding Warehouse and floral offcuts in bud vases by Helen Sheard Floral Designs. The combination of boho elements and vintage accents creates a captivating and unforgettable boho luxe wedding cake table. It becomes a focal point of the reception, enticing guests to gather around and celebrate the couple’s love amidst a magical and romantic ambience.
The vintage dresser serves as the perfect backdrop for the stationery display, adding an air of old-world charm and character. The stationery is a work of art, showcasing boho-inspired designs and elegant calligraphy in new season lilac, plum and purple tones along with bouquets and blooms with white font by Heart E Designs.
Surrounding the invitations we added small detail accents in the gold disco balls by The Little Wedding Warehouse, a log slice bearing the wedding rings, floral offcuts in bud vases and a gold tea light by Helen Sheard Floral Designs.
The display conveys a sense of natural beauty, artistic flair, and a carefree spirit and was created and beautifully captured by Sonderlust Photography. It reflects a bohemian-inspired theme that is characterised by a love of nature, eclectic elements and a touch of whimsy.
Each place setting is adorned with pink napkins supplied by Two Become One Wedding Planner which contrast nicely with the plateware. We add texture with our gorgeous table stationery by Heart E Designs who creates fresh, fun bespoke wedding stationery using sustainable resources.
Our stationery comes in new season lilac, plum and purple tones along with bouquets and blooms with white font in the personalised place and menu cards.
At one end of the trestle we place the floor meadow arrangement on top of the flowing runner which can create a beautiful and romantic atmosphere. It can be a focal point for the guests and complement the pampas arrangements and other floral elements throughout.
This consistency ties the entire wedding theme together, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.
Bringing together the elegance of vintage cars and the timeless beauty of fresh flowers, we adorned this classic car by V Dub Rides with exquisite floral decor to tie in throughout our pops of spring colours and transform the beauty of this lovely vintage VW car.
Helen Sheard Floral Designs incorporates a spray of hand-tied matching flowers with trailing ribbon to the door handle and a foliage garland made with ivy trails and a selection of matching flowers.
We created a captivating and enchanting scene and captured some fun moments with smoke bombs too all to show off the young couple’s fun personality. Our whole shoot was creatively and beautifully captured by Sonderlust Photography and Chris Jerome James who created a super cool fun vibe video.
The boho luxe wedding trend is for couples who love a romantic dreamy atmosphere, celebrate their individuality, free-spiritedness, and a connection to nature. They want a wedding that feels relaxed, effortless and untraditional, and shows off their personalities.
What a total dream and I have to say oh so inspirational.
