In the heart of the Malibu mountains, Nicole George Events orchestrated a wedding that seamlessly intertwined with the surrounding landscape’s warm, earthy palette. From the contemporary invitations to the rustic ceremony arch and seating chart, every detail reflected the natural beauty of the hills and valleys. Best Day Ever Floral Design added texture and depth with rich blooms, enhancing the ambiance with their exquisite arrangements.
Captured by Victoria Gold Photography, Felicia and Daniel’s union unfolded like a captivating tale, raw and authentic, against the breathtaking backdrop of the mountains. Their wedding is a dream realized, a celebration of love and nature’s timeless allure.
From the Planner, Nicole George Events: Felicia and Daniel’s wedding focus was to create a fun, lively, and equally beautiful wedding celebrating their friends and family. Some of their first words they used to describe their wedding was how important it was that their friends and family felt celebrated because they were in fact, the individuals that have supported Felicia and Daniel’s relationship. Making it a point to celebrate the important people who have loved and supported them throughout their lives, guests were enveloped with memories and special touches throughout the entire event.
Following a sentimental and intimate ceremony, guests walked by a memory lane wall, consisting of pictures of Felicia and Daniel with their friends and families throughout the years. This made a fun and interactive cocktail hour full of laughs and rehashing some of their favorite memories. As guests continued into cocktail hour, they were directed to the “love notes” wall – a collaboration between Nicole George Events and Four Things Paper, where individual handwritten love letters to each guest doubled as their escort card. The letters talked about memories they had shared with their guests and thanked them for everything they have done for Felicia and Daniel as a couple. Along with truly wanting to thank each guest for being there, it was important that they felt at home and included in the special day.
In the spirit of making guests feel at home, warm earthy tones were used throughout the wedding design creating an effortless elevated (yet not stuffy) gathering that reflected the gorgeous Malibu mountain views from Saddlerock Ranch. Guests were invited to dine al fresco style alongside the sunset and dance the night away under the stars. In yet another moment of highlighting their loved ones, a tribute video for the bride’s late father was played for all of the guests following the live speeches. Alongside the video, Felicia shared a letter she had written for her father and revelled in hearing his voice one more time as images flashed across the screen. There was not a dry eye in the room.
In a celebratory fashion, the night played on with fun entertainment such as their photobooth, Boba and Crepe Station, and full dancefloor until the very last minute of celebration!
Someday we may shift our focus from weddings in the Malibu mountains to those dreamy Big Sky ranch stories or the luxurious minimalism of Aman… but today is not that day. Felicia and Daniel’s wedding celebrates the spirit of the setting, while simultaneously speaking to their story + wrapping their closest kin in an abundance of love. So yeah… we won’t be getting over this magical wedding story any time soon!
