Lilac & Peach Wedding Ideas
Forever Love was the theme of this romantic editorial. We couldn’t call it that, without it being focused on a real couple who just so happens to be madly in love. Do you remember your first love? That magical, pure and overwhelmingly, intense feeling.
Seriously, just take a look at them in these photos to feel the passionate connection, warmth and friendship that they share.
We had not one, but two gorgeous wedding gowns for the bride, Ava to wear. Two completely different styles that suited her so well from Sharleez Bridal. One was so dreamy and filmy, and the other was sleek and sexy.
Eduardo was dressed in an oatmeal-colored suit, with a sage green tie and vest from our friends at Andrews Formals. These colors are going to be so hot this wedding season.
Instead of the champagne tower that has become so popular, we wanted to show an homage to Eduardo’s culture, and have tequila shots instead! Notice the flat lay with florals and the tequila bottle that somehow even managed to match with our theme. We may or may not have had a shot to toast with, for the group team photo.
The incredible cakes by Natalia at Just One More Desserts, had edible hand-made flowers, and went so beautifully with our table design.
This is our second time creating an editorial at Preto Loft. It’s such a great space in Toronto. The natural light, floor to ceiling windows, light walls and floor make it a perfect spot to set up a wedding styled shoot.
The colored pink and purple glassware tied everything together. I couldn’t find the right dinner plates for what I had in mind, so I went shopping and found these “Thesolarloo” beauties at Homesense. When I have something in my head as a creative vision, it’s very difficult for me to let it go.
Unfortunately, four of the plates broke before we were able to set them up. Thanks to Rosetta’s editing and touch-up skills you would never know. We moved things around to the back and moved the candles and centrepieces to cover the empty space and chipped plates up.
We had not one, but two talented floral design companies working on this editorial. How lucky for us. Each for different aspects of the design and yet, it came together cohesively.
The lush and stunning florals for the reception table and bouquet were amplified by the tall crystal holders for the candles. Elite Decor by S & S is owned by a wonderful and warm husband and wife team. Their showroom is amazing!
The showstopper were the hanging florals for the ceremony space. I seriously can’t get enough of florals. This installation was beyond beautiful. Can you believe that they are all real flowers? It was an installation that was only available for four days at Preto Loft and the entire reason that I booked this space. It was created by the wonderful students at Bloom School Toronto, which is led by the uber-talented Becky of Blush and Bloom.
The team all pitched in to help load-in, load-out, and step in where needed. It was a whirlwind, but we did it!
How very beautiful.
Thanks so very much to the whole talented team below for sharing with us these magical lilac and peach wedding ideas.
