Sometimes, love is closer than you realize. When Nora and Rahul matched on Hinge, they had no idea they lived only two blocks away from each other in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The two got along right away and have been inseparable ever since.
It was important to Nora and Rahul to honor both of their cultures through two ceremonies. They chose the Wainwright House, a historical chateau in coastal New York, as their backdrop. Nora donned a red and gold lehenga for their Hindu ceremony and proceeded to the harbor, where Rahul was waiting for her under a wooden mandap that overflowed with pink roses and carnations.
At sunset, the couple changed into a sleek white gown and tux, where their waterside setting was quickly flipped for their Western ceremony.
Afterward, guests moved into a tent for a candlelight dinner. Vibrant florals adorned each table as if to match the color-streaked skies outside.
The celebration went late into the evening with emotional toasts and dancing by all, realizing the couple’s goal of a fun and easy wedding.
