The Walled Garden Helperby Wedding Inspiration
Abbey at Limelight & Empty Quarter Events says:
The concept for the styling came from the ornate nature of the venue, the earthy tones of the time of year we were shooting (November) and the fact we had featured an alternative marquee structure in the form of a stretch tent.
The result was something timelessly classic demanded by a secret walled garden, mixed with a forward-looking modernity of contemporary outdoor weddings.
Deep tones were used in the form of forest green chair sashes, reflected in the groom’s suit.
A rich Burlwood colour adorned the tables, which were reflected in the luxury of the florals, and the ethereal elegance of the bride’s hair and make-up, along with the dashes of colour on the cake.
The florals really formed a focal point to the shoot, taking on a wild yet refined style. A deconstructed arch was a highlight of the shoot situated under the cupola. A similar “overgrowing” style was recreated over the top table as an accompaniment to the chandelier frame.
All these elements overall brought a rich, stylish vibe with a modern twist to the shoot, complemented by the overall elegance of the photography style.
The Walled Garden Helperby said:
The Walled Garden Helperby is a stunning Edwardian walled garden, hidden in the Yorkshire countryside. This historic Grade II listed garden is steeped in rich heritage and charm, with four acres of lawns and walkways, a neo-classical cupola, and pavilions.
It has been re-imagined hosting marquee and tipi events, and even boasts accommodation on site in the cosy Gardeners Cottage. In the wider estate, there is an additional cottage, as well as the Harness Room which is a wonderfully historic setting for an intimate rehearsal dinner or post-wedding lunch.
The main inspiration for the shoot was to celebrate how a garden venue can host autumnal weddings with cosy stretch tents, mood light, warming colour tones and autumnal colours in the gardens.
Bringing the outside in was celebrated with relaxed florals, festoon lighting and darker green colours. Bringing all the cosy vibes!
Well wasn’t that just all kinds of wonderful?
