Flixton House Wedding Inspiration
As a bridal headpiece and accessories designer I wanted to create new, fabulous headpieces which offered delicate colour additions alongside some fabulous, colourful wedding inspiration.
This was brought to life when my local wedding venue wanted to do a collaboration to showcase their beautiful venue alongside the stunning cherry blossom trees and floral gardens.
Our ‘Spring blossom’ editorial was born and how lucky we were that a delightful and talented list of wedding suppliers jumped on board to help bring the vision to life.
The venue itself was a fabulous choice. Flixton House is a unique and characterful building with grade 11 listed features, two beautiful rooms filled with period details including fireplaces and high ceilings and is home to ornamental, walled gardens filled with blossom trees, herbaceous borders and beautiful pagodas.
The venue offers intimacy, exclusivity and effortlessly lends itself to grand celebrations as well as small and intimate gatherings.
Our photographers for the day were the very talented Karl and Joane who are fine art photographers and two of the most beautiful people you could ever work with. We were blessed to have them create these beautiful images for us.
Tracy at Cherish Bridal has a beautiful eye for dresses and chose ‘Virginia’ by Ronald Joyce, a strapless A-line with a floral applique plunge bodice and detachable cuffed blouson sleeves. It was the perfect addition for the shoot.
The stunning headpieces were by me (Rachel Chaprunne). I have been designing for around 6 years now and wanted to get my creative juices stuck into something which offered my brides pops of colour combinations.
My pearl spring blossom crown was the perfect addition to the veil and flowers. I also made a bolder statement headpiece which is a real showstopper for brides who dare to be that little bit extra! I love designing for bold, break-the-norm kind of brides.
The wonderful cake was created by Natalie Cake Studio who loves making modern, elegant cakes which reflect her love of nature, textures and flowers.
The Venue Styling Company brought the ceremony room to life with the loveliest Chiavari chairs dressed with sage green chiffon drop sashes. A beautiful large greenery moon gate as the main backdrop with additions of romantic glass candle holders, candlesticks and scatter petals along the aisle.
Evelina at Flower Candy UK is fascinated by flowers and obsessed with pushing the boundaries of traditional flower arranging so she created the super stunning floral arrangements following our bright and happy colour scheme.
The bridal bouquet featured pink roses and ranunculus, peach gerberas, blue delphinium and a few quirky blooms like the orange protea and green fritillaria. The perfect colour combinations for a spring or summer wedding.
Laura at the Artful Rodger took full inspiration from our light, colourful and floral mood board and drew by hand the design you see here in all of its floral glory. A very talented stationer.
Connie at Wit and Wonder Ceremonies was a delight and our celebrant for the day. A warm, vivacious beautiful human who would bring joy to any ceremony.
The luxurious and delicate hand-painted shoes by Anna at The Pretty Wedding Shoe Company were an absolute dream paired with the dress and veil.
Jodie our talented hair and make-up artist created a natural look for the bride with a lovely delicate wave style and a light make up with delicate pinks, which was absolutely perfect for a spring blossom shoot.
The showstopper veils were handmade by Adorn by Ashley and what an absolutely glorious addition they were. Hand-embroidered flowers trailing all the way down in an array of delicate spring blossoms.
These would be a definite wow at any wedding and Ashley makes lots of bespoke veils too.
Beth at Alt Events Co was my superstar wing woman on the day alongside Ann Marie, organising everything from the table settings, getting the bride and groom ready, to keeping time and making sure everyone knew exactly what they were doing.
You’re in safe hands with this lovely, firecracker of a wedding planner.
I must mention our fabulous models for the day who were amazing to work with and helped us create a beautifully, perfect spring blossom shoot for all to enjoy.
Does it get any more beautiful?! Wow.
Thanks ever so much to the immensely talented team below for sharing with us these Flixton House wedding ideas.
