Step into this joyful Weddings at Woodfords wedding inspiration shoot today in West Sussex. Brought to us by Blossom and Bee Floristry, Lou Lou Event Design, Rhythms and Ribbons and Beth Kirkham Ceremonies, along with a whole host of talented local suppliers, you will discover the most darling, colourful wedding ideas.
I adore the vibrant palette inspired by an autumnal sunset, with the wildflower-style blooms setting the whole scene. We have so many lovely touches here, yes of course the outfits and bridal beauty which were sublime. But also the delicate stationery, elegant outdoor tablescape, repurposed confetti and amazing hexagon backdrop – all were stunning.
Do look out for a special picnic wedding breakfast feast, a cute pup, an outdoor ceremony, the fun floral swing, woodland frolics and even ping pong. These incredible images by Max Turner Weddings are going to blow you away. What a delight.
Weddings At Woodfords
There is a certain magic to be found at Weddings at Woodfords, a little-known Sussex wedding venue which has been lovingly crafted by Chelsea Flower Show gold-award-winning sculptor Jonny Woodford.
The raw materials and natural style of the venue blend perfectly with the serenity of the surrounding woodland which created some beautiful moments on the day.
Embracing Nature’s Beauty: The Venue
At this charming venue nestled at the foot of the South Downs, you will find hidden cabins, waterside pontoons and a hand-built amphitheatre.
This shoot showcased the multiple ways in which the venue can be used for a whole weekend of celebrations; a waterside ceremony, alfresco dining beneath the trees and an intimate picnic for both a ‘first look’ opportunity and a romantic ‘morning after’.
A Sunset Colour Palette: Nature’s Canvas
Inspired by the impressive hues of a sunset, the colour palette for this shoot was a breathtaking blend of delicate blues and purples, golden yellows, dusty pinks and burnt oranges.
The chosen tones for the styling and florals enhanced the enchantment of the forest adding further warmth to the natural beauty.
Local Specialists: Making Dreams Come True
None of this project would have been possible without the dedication, creativity and skills of the local suppliers involved.
Blossom and Bee Floristry
Inspired by an Autumnal sunset colour palette, Karen from Blossom and Bee Floristry worked with a wide range of flowers including roses, delphiniums, ranunculus, geums and butterfly ranunculus, set off with burgundy foliage and smokebush.
She created a bridal bouquet with a luxurious trailing velvet ribbon and matching buttonhole, a decorated hexagon frame for the ceremony backdrops and elegant bud vases laid out beneath a suspended flower frame for the tablescape.
Lou Lou Event Design
The colour scheme for the stationery and styling was an important part of this shoot, so textiles, tableware and ribbons were chosen to match.
Lou loved the way the colours mirrored the florals – even down to the small details like the fruit chosen for the picnic table.
To bring out the ‘enchanted woodland’ theme Lou opted for beautiful vintage tableware and brass candlesticks. These were put against white chiffon table runners which mirrored the bride’s beautiful floaty gown.
Lou made the ribbon bunting for the ceremony and also used ribbon to style the stationery. She was keen to keep the look sustainable with the use of pre-loved props and ribbon made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.
Blessings of Brighton
The two gowns were provided by Blessings of Brighton. The tulle a-line dress was chosen for its whimsical feel with pretty lace florals echoing the abundance of foliage, flowers and woodland of the shoot.
The intricate crochet-look lace fit and flare design with light as air cape-like sleeves has a natural boho look which perfectly enhanced the feel of the carefree woodland wedding vibe.
The hair and make-up were kept soft and natural, in keeping with the style of the setting.
Capturing Moments: The Photography
Expert photographer Max Turner captured the relaxed and natural feel of the day. From the ethereal impact of the dappled light coming through the trees to the cheeky appearance of Pesto the corgi!
A Celebration of Love and Nature
The environmental impact of this shoot was considered whenever possible. From sourcing local suppliers and products as much as possible to using the gorgeous confetti from Confetti Club London.
This company turn unwanted flowers left over from events into confetti and the profits from the sale of the confetti are then donated to charity. They kindly provided confetti for this shoot and then Blossom and Bee Floristry sent all of the flowers used for the shoot to continue the cycle.
We hope that this shoot may inspire couples to embrace the beauty of natural outdoor settings and celebrate love in all its forms.
Does it even get any prettier?! I think NOT.
A huge thank you to each and every supplier below for sharing with us these epic Weddings at Woodfords wedding ideas. What a feast for the eyes.
