If you are set to get wed in a striking country home or are considering doing so, this Bourton Hall wedding ideas shoot in Warwickshire is sure to leave you feeling inspired.
The shoot was sent over to me by talented photographer, Ellie Mac Photography and behind the concept, design and florals was Wild Stems. Together with a very creative set of suppliers, they created a stunning botanical wedding style.
I adore the teal and gold tablescapes, the divine greenery arrangements and of course those elegant yet modern bridal looks. Be sure to look out for pearl accessories, timeless stationery, a unique cake design and so many wonderful little details.
Bourton Hall Wedding Inspiration
Dreamy feminine styling with a botanical twist…
Nestled in amongst the Warwickshire countryside sits a fairly new wedding venue Bourton Hall. This gem of a venue provides it all for a wedding with so many options for photos I could have spent all week there creating shot after shot!
A team of utterly wonderful wedding supplier wizards came together to produce the vision of Hannah from Wild Stems, to produce this dreamy romantic vibe.
From seeing the mood boards through to final production, I was one excited photographer. As the team can confirm I spent much of the day gushing over our gorgeous model Tina and squealing behind the camera (the ultimate giveaway that I am digging what we are capturing!).
My famous phrase of ‘gahhh okkkkk sorry just one moreeeee’ was pulled out the bag more than once as I got very carried away!
Bourton Hall provides a very grand backdrop, with the most epic bridal suite I have ever stepped foot in. Getting ready on the morning of your wedding is a huge part of the day and to be spoilt with such a large, light and airy space which also includes a 4-poster bed AND a balcony means bridal portraits can be captured with such ease.
The fabulous staircase leads you down into the main body of the house and through to the incredible unique chapel with again beautiful light. With gorgeous grounds to explore complete with impressive house frontage, stone pillars, steps, water feature and views for days means you can get lost exploring for hours.
However, even if it was to rain on your big day inside the house provides so much opportunity for equally stunning photography. It is not often a venue can offer so much in one space but I believe Bourton Hall provides it all, complete with accommodation so you can roll straight into bed after a day of partying!
I truly believe that one of the elements which can elevate a wedding from great to grand is the florals…and Hannah did not disappoint with producing multiple floral features to decorate the venue.
The botanical theme with a touch of blossom suited the spring time and with the ability to move each element to different spaces you can really make the most of each. The broken arch along with meadow tray displays can raise the bar with the photography offering true editorial vibes.
Jess from Mode Bridal hair and makeup worked her magic with Tina our model (can we take a moment to acknowledge how good Tina was as a model despite not being a professional model?! New career is calling!) producing a soft Hollywood glam style for look 1 which we paired with a floaty sleeved elegant gown from The White Boutique.
To wow your guests a well-planned out tablescape creates a real impact as everyone is welcomed into the wedding breakfast room and takes in the beautiful view of a stunning dining space. Do not underestimate the impact the small details have (I love capturing each and every one of these details!).
The dream team of Wild Stems, Rainbow Wedding Shop, The Crafters Fym, LB Bakes and Emily’s Lollies sprinkled so much magic on our green, teal and gold tablescape.
With antique vases filled with greenery which matched the lollies as favours, and gorgeously draped fabric alongside gold cutlery and chargers it provided a sumptuous decadent feel.
Beautiful stationery tied into the theme perfectly with the same colour palette flowing throughout.
The centre piece of a botanical-styled cake complete with a transparent tier adorned with ferns fitted in beautifully.
For look two we ramped up the party vibes a tad more with a chic up do matched with an incredible embellished pearl gown. Some may ask if it is ‘too extra’ to have a second gown/outfit for the evening of your wedding….I AM HERE FOR IT LADIES AND GENTS!
It is the one day you will get married so if you can, definitely go for a snazzy little number for the evening do! We also used some mega hair accessories from Devoted Hair Sccessories to make a real statement with chunky embellished headbands.
A big thank you to Hannah of Wild Stems for undertaking all the planning and concept for this styled shoot, it came together beautifully and I know will provide fabulous inspo for those planning weddings currently. It was great to meet and work with so many talented ladies.
