Move over, traditional winter weddings, because this duo redefined the game with a dazzling display of colors that would put a rainbow to shame! With a floral palette bursting with reds, oranges, yellows, pinks, and purples, the venue was transformed into a whimsical wonderland of hues and happiness. But here’s the twist that added an extra dose of fun: the groom’s family actually owned Halls Opelika, a local wholesale floral company, giving the couple access to a flower lover’s dream come true! Let’s dive into the festivities planned by Stacie + Co. and find out how this celebration of love blossomed into something truly extraordinary, all captured by Haint Blue Collective!
Overview from planner, Stacie + Co.: As a wedding planner, the goal is always to help couples dream up a wedding design that embodies their personality and style as a couple. Big details to small, every element is an opportunity to tell a couple’s story and incorporate a personal or fun touch.
When looking back at Sara and Patrick’s classic meets colorful wedding, I know we did just that! You can feel the joy exuding from these two while browsing their wedding photos. From their candid moments spent together during their portraits to the fun shots of them with family and friends, every interaction was cheerful and bright. Their wedding design had to be full of life and color, just like Sara and Patrick!
The duo wed at the classic Moores Mill Club in January, redefining what a typical winter wedding might look like with a palette full of color. Beautiful blooms in red, orange, yellow, pink and purple were provided by Halls Opelika, which is a local wholesale floral company that the groom’s family actually owns. How fun was it that they got to have access to such a resource and get to pick and choose whatever their hearts desired for their wedding.
The final look featured roses, lilys, orchids, ranunculus, craspedia and colorful foliage. The vibe was bright and almost topical! Jess M. Burkhart of Frou Frou crafted a stunning fireplace installation that became the anchor for the rest of the reception design. And for the ceremony, a circular gold floral arch full of lush greenery and these bright blooms beautifully framed their ceremony.
To further their colorful wedding look, Sara worked with Anomalie to custom design a wedding dress that would carry their cheerful floral design through. An airy silhouette with delicate illusion sleeves took a colorful twist with bright floral appliques cascading down the back, bodice and sleeves.
The bridesmaids donned sleek black gowns, which allowed for her dress to shine. And their slate teal shaws tied in with the reception table runners from BBJ La Tavola. From their classic invitation suite – made extra special with a black Heirloom Seals wax seal – and slate teal ribbon, to their send off, we loved that everything was a true representation of them!
