Modern Springtime Wedding Ideas
Hannah from Graze and Gathering created the most mouthwatering spread, with delicious extras such as fresh figs, gherkins, blackberries and honey to accompany the cheese, meat and chocolate platters.
Dawn provided a celebrant lead ceremony which included a sand ceremony and a beautiful edible flower ritual. The edible flowers were hand-made by Zoe as well as the 3 tier wedding cake, which was adorned with a cascade of the most stunning iced flowers.
For the styling I wanted to create a contemporary spring vibe, using natural, earthy tones with pops of colour in pastel shades. For the tablescape I used earthenware bottles along with frog pins in glass bowls for all the flowers to stand in, this created a minimalist look.
Using coloured candles and ceramic holders added subtle colour and form to the table décor. I hand-dyed calico fabric for the napkins and fabric drapes, the raw edge of the material added to the contemporary style.
I used a selection of seasonal flowers for the bouquet and arrangements, including 3 varieties of Tulip, Ranunculus, Craspedia, Delphinium and some Forsythia cut from my garden.
Valentina wore a satin, one-shoulder dress with low sweetheart neckline and sheer panelling to the sides, from Naomi Bridal Boutique. The delicate design of the dress complimented her body beautifully.
Robyn styled her hair in a soft bun with soft trailing waves, which was teamed with a pearl headband and earrings. The makeup applied by Jess used a natural colour palette with a subtle glow, which created the most dreamy bridal look.
The wooden games were a lovely addition to the shoot and would work so well for a games corner at any wedding, I’m pretty sure that they would be a big hit with both the kids and adults! The lawn games are great for an outdoor summer wedding while the tabletop options are perfect for a winter wedding.
The seating plan and backdrop panels for the cake display were made in my studio the day before! I painted them in pastel shades of matt paint. Using the picture frames with pressed flowers, for a seating plan was one of my favourite elements.
Hannah brought her lovely vintage VW campervan photobooth which looked gorgeous parked outside The Elm Tree. Despite the howling winds and rain we managed to grab a few photos of her in all her glory! We also had Hannah’s brand-new indoor pod booth, which was super cool!
The day was beautifully captured by the very talented Sophie Ruck. If you haven’t got your wedding photographer sorted yet, you need to get this lady booked in!!
As shoot planner, Hannah from Oh Snap UK, did an amazing job of bringing a talented group of Lincolnshire based wedding suppliers together for a day of creativity and giggles.
